Gangtok, September 11 : The Food Security, Agriculture Development and Horticulture and Cash Crops Department, organized a coordination meeting with Legislatures and Officers of host department and Animal Husbandry Department at the conference hall of Krishi Bhawan here in capital today.
The meeting was chaired by K.T Gyaltsen, Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the ‘Micro Plan’ on agriculture and livestock development prepared by the Department of Food Security, Agriculture Development and Horticulture and Cash Crops under the guidance of the Chief Minister. Under this plan, the department had prepared a format and a map showing constituency and ward wise demarcation of various agricultural and livestock holdings and other information, where by the department could facilitate the micro plan schemes and programmes of the government in these areas.
Minister, Food Security, Agriculture Development and Horticulture and Cash Crops Department, Dawcho Lepcha presented the Micro Plan to the legislature for implementation with a request to submitted their action plan within 30th October 09.
