ATTC starts Cisco Networking Academy



GANGTOK, September 18: The Advanced Technical Training Centre (ATTC) today announced the launch of a local Cisco Networking Academy at the campus.
Cisco is the worldwide leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate.
As a major initiative to the State of Sikkim, ATTC along with Cisco has started its Networking Academy to provide quality and competent networking concepts to impart employable knowledge and skills for the benefit of learners and students in the state of Sikkim.
The first batch is already undergoing the said course, which comprises of ex-students and the students from the institute itself. Admission priority will be given to the local students, informs a press release.
It is also informed that students can now undergo Cisco certified courses in their very own state at reasonable costs.
It is further informed that Cisco Networking Academy prepares students for networking and IT-related careers in the public and private sectors, as well as for higher education in engineering, computer science and related fields.
The local Academy will offer courses in CCNA Exploration for students to prepare for industry-recognized certification and IT careers.
Meanwhile, ATTC has plans to partner with local businesses seeking IT professionals who have hand-on skills with the latest technology to place graduates/under graduates.
The web-based curriculum was developed by educators for simultaneous delivery to all Academy sites through a Global Learning Network.
The Cisco Networking Academy has provided more than 20 million students in over 160 countries with IT and networking skills essential to succeeding in the global economy.
