Sikkim's Sewa Bhawan Opens @ South Extension, Part II, New Delhi

CM inaugurates ‘Sewa Bhawan’ in New Delhi; dedicates to the State
GANGTOK, August 18: The Chief Minister Pawan Chamling today inaugurated Sewa Bhawan, a new Government of Sikkim establishment located at L-12, South Extension, Part II, New Delhi.
The Bhawan, intended to serve the interest of the people of Sikkim and the officials of the Government, was dedicated to the State.
Delhi being the Union Capital having all facilities for specialized medical treatment, higher studies and official parleys, discussions and Conferences, the State has been taking full advantage of these opportunities with consequential rise of visitors from Sikkim necessitating the existing facilities at New Sikkim House, Old Sikkim House and the Hauz Khas Delhi building for patients to be augmented, said a press statement.
Spread over a plot area of 500 square yards, the Sewa Bhawan facilities comprises of 26 double bedded with air-conditioned rooms with attached toilet. With a basement and three floors, it is located just behind New Delhi’s one of the posh market areas and is only about 1.5 kms from AIIMS.
Mr. Chamling was accompanied by Mrs Tika Maya Chamling, State HRDD Minister NK Pradhan, UDHD & Food Minister DB Thapa, Rajya Sabha MP OT Lepcha, Lok Sabha MP PD Rai, Chief Secretary TT Dorji, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister RS Basnet, all India services officials on deputation on Central Government and other government officials and engineers.
