Gangtok,August30: Sikkim Minister of State for Tourism, Forests,and Environment,Shri Bhim Dungel has received the Best State in Adventure Tourism Award by the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) and SAFARI INDIA.
The award was given at a function held at the Ashoka Hotel Convention Hall, Delhi,by Murlidhar Chanderkant Bhandare, Governor of Orissa, in the presence of prominent persons from the field of tourism and travel.
The award was given in recognition of contribution of Sikkim to the promotion of various adventure tourist destinations particularly in Sikkim.
