RANGPO, August 14: As the State prepares to observe its 63rd Independence Day, the border town is being put under tight security cover to prevent any disturbances.
Security has also been tightened at all the check posts. Vehicles entering Sikkim are being thoroughly checked and passengers are checked whether they have valid identity cards.
Sikkim Police and ITBP are jointly undertaking the checks.
