MANGAN, August 25: The North District Highway towards Chungthang via Theng road has been swept away last night triggered by torrential rains.At present the light vehicles towards Chungthang are plying from Shipgyer Kachha road and transhipment is possible at Theeng landslide zone.
Speaking to media, the public of Theeng and Chungthang said repair work at the stretch may take at least a fortnight to complete, for which they have demanded GREF and hydel power project developers to take immediate steps of clearing the highway
