Gangtok, Sept. 16: A mentally challenged athlete from Sikkim will be part of the Indian contingent to the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games, which will be held in Shanghai, China, from October 2.
Nirmal Dahal, 23, will compete in power lifting, for which he was chosen after taking part in a series of state-level and national camps.
The East Sikkim district sports officer, Ram Bahadur Biswakarma, will go to Shanghai as the power lifting team’s coach.
