CHIEF MINISTER RETURNS TO SIKKIM via DARJEELING


Gangtok,Sep 02: Chief minister Pawan Chamling and his entourage would arrive back in Sikkim after many days hectic meetings and meets with many Union Ministers, Prime Minister,Vice President and President in corridors of powers in New Delhi.
It has been reported that Many Sikkim Democratic Front Supporters and leaders have gone to Siliguri to receive Dr. Chamling after a very successful trip to Delhi. Upon his arrival at Rangpo, the Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by various Cabinet Ministers, party leaders like Dr. DR Kharel, Tilu Gurung, Youth Cheli Morcha and a large number of public supporters and business committees.
However, due to the road blockade near the Coronation bridge, the Chief Minister had also taken the longer route via Darjeeling which took one and half hour more as compared to the usual time taken on the National highway 31A.
The return of Chief Minister to Sikkim is highly awaited by many in the anticipation of restart of dialogue process with ACT hunger strikers who have called off their indefinite strike after a personal appeal from Chief Minister.
