GANGTOK, September 7: The State Assembly today unanimously passed four important Bills, which were tabled before the House yesterday.
The two-day Autumn session began here yesterday.
The Registration of Companies (Amendment) Bill no 13 of 2007, the Sikkim Panchayat (Amendment) Bill no 14 of 2007, the Sikkim Municipalities (First Amendment) Bill no 15 of 2007 and the Sikkim Prisons Bill No. 16 of 2007 were all passed by the House any discussions.
The Excess Demands for Grants for the financial year 2002-2003 and the First Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2007-2008 were also passed unanimously by the House today. The Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling, who also holds the Finance portfolio, had tabled them yesterday.
The Chief Minister also introduced the Sikkim Appropriation Bill, No 18 of 2007 for Excess Demands for Grants for the financial year 2002-2003 and Sikkim Appropriation Bill, No 19 of 2007 for the First Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2007-2008, which were also passed unanimously by the House
