SDF DENIES OF EIGHT PANCHAYATS ELECTED UNCONTESTED FROM TOONG-NAGA
GANGTOK, September 25: The Sikkim Democratic Front has denied that the eight Panchayat including a Zilla Panchayat were elected uncontested from Toong-Naga GPU. Stating that the Panchayats were not officially elected uncontested from the GPU, a press release issued by Bhim Dahal, General Secretary, SDF says that there was only one candidate from SDF party in those wards.
The release further states that it was entirely the party’s internal matter.
It further says that candidates from any other parties whatsoever are free to file their nominations in the Panchayat elections till the last date of filing of nominations on October 1.
