INDIAN PIZZA FOR ITALIAN CHEF IN GANGTOK



HOTEL MANAGEMENT STUDENTS TAKE ON A SLICE A ITALY

GANGTOK, September 27: On the eve of the World Tourism Day, a pizza making competition was organized for the final year students of Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) for the very first time here today afternoon at the premises of the institute.
Around 40-50 mouth-watering and exotic pizzas of different shapes and sizes including the cheese crust pizza, sausages with capsicum pizza and tuna and prawns pizza were kept on display for the visitors.
The participating students for the competition were trained on the art of pizza making by Sanjeev Pakhetra, Senior Lecturer to IHM.
Andrea Baccei, an Italian chef based in New Delhi who judged the competition selected two best displayed pizzas of Sumit Kumar and Sandeep Yadav.
Similarly, a painting competition on the theme of eco-tourism too was organized for the students where in about 21 imaginative paintings were exhibited.
All the winners will be felicitated with prizes on the annual day function of the institute slated to be held later this year
