Darjeeling Invaded by Media

Darjeeling: Darjeeling is now being covered from each and every possible angle by numerous news channels from India and Nepal. The huge invasion of news channels are attributed to the local hero Prashant Tamang reaching the finals of the Indian Idol show. No one has done as much as Prashant for highlighting Darjeeling at an International level. Tourists have flocked in from all parts of the world, after having heard or seen Darjeeling being talked of so much in the TV. “A look around Chowrasta is enough to make every person associated with Darjeeling, it no more looks like a small quaint hill town, rather it looks like a big time media centre, all thanks to Prashant” said Mr. D.K.Chatterjee, who has been living in Darjeeling since past five generations. Darjeeling Muslim community came out strongly in support of Prashant, and they brought out huge rally. “He is our son and we will make sure that he wins becomes the next Indian idol a thumping majority” said Mr. Mohamad Asif Iqubal. Numerous Prashant supporters have come from all around the world, and the majority being from Nepal. People have traveled from as far as Australia to vote for and support Prashant. Prashant Tamang has become media idol along with india idol 3 last night as far as news content all around press,electronic media and internet is concerned.
