IMPROVING ROADS ALONG INDO-CHINA BORDER
Gangtok, September 6: The Government has approved construction of 27 road links along the India-China border at an estimated cost of Rs. 912 crore. The Government has simultaneously initiated action for obtaining forest and environmental clearances wherever required. Upgradation of infrastructure along borders is continuously reviewed. These road link projects are expected to be completed by 2012-13. An amount of Rs. 3.16 crore has been released to the executing agencies for the preliminary works. This information was given by the Minister of State for Home, Smt. V.Radhika Selvi in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today
