Gangtok, Aug. 26 (PTI): Sikkim was cut off from the rest of the country following a landslide at Rambhi in Kalimpong sub-division of Darjeeling district.
The landslide occurred last night, official sources said today.
There were no reports of any casualty or damage to property.
Inspector General of Police R J S Nalwa told PTI that workers were trying to clear mud and rock on NH 31 A, the arterial link between Siliguri and Gangtok.
The road might be cleared for traffic later in the day if there is no rain or fresh landslide, he added.
