SINGTAM: Residents of Singtam are badly hit by erratic power supply over the last few months.
The region is one of the main business hubs in the State with maximum hydel projects and business houses located in its vicinity. Business houses have also suffered huge losses following the power cuts.
The local people are being given simple reasons of “line fault” when they inquire with the power offices. Repeated requests made to the Power Department by the residents have been ignored, they allege.
However, with the half yearly exams slated to begin at the end of this month, most parents are worried over the fate of their children in the exams.
