Day 61: Dawa Re-Admitted to STNM hospital

Dawa's health deteriorates

Gangtok: While the Sikkim Chief Minister Dr. Chamling issued another appeal to Dawa Lepcha and Tenzing Lepcha to call off their two months long hunger strike to create suitable atmosphere for another round of dialogue to find a way out of stand-off on issue, Dawa Lepcha who earlier this week was released officially from STNM hospital at Gangtok was taken in an ambulance by a Sikkim police team and later re-admitted at the STNM where another hunger striker Tenzing lepcha is already under medical observation and is given nasal feeding to improve health conditions. Earlier, doctors and nurses at STNM hospital resumed medical treatment and re-initiated nose-feeding following further deterioration in Dawa`s condition.

Another group of hunger strikers has continued their relay hunger strike at BL House which has already completed 61 days now.
