GANGTOK: A case of theft was registered at the Sadar Police Station that occurred on the intervening night of June 12 & 11 at Daragaon in Tadong, Gangtok.
According to the complainant Bijay Tamang, some unknown individual(s) entered into the house of his sister and tenant at Daragaon and stolen away gold ornaments of approximately 3 tolas, cash amount of Rs 4,000, 1 filled LPG cylinder and 16 copper plates.
Following preliminary investigation, the Police rounded up two suspects Micheal Subba and Praney Gurung, both resident of Tadong for interrogation. The case was as such registered under Section 380 against theft in building, vessel and tent of the Indian Penal Code and is under investigation.
