RUPA WITH ARPANA TAMANG TOURS SOUTH & WEST SIKKIM


PRASHANT CRAZE PEAKS WITH TOUR OF HIS MOTHER AND SISTER TO SIKKIM DISTRICTS.

NAMCHI: A huge enthusiastic crowd welcomed Prashant Tamang’s mother and his sister to Sikkim at a campaign rally here yesterday on June 18.
The mega rally was organized as part of the campaign organized by the Namchi-based Sikkim Patrakar Manch for Prashant in his quest for the Indian Idol quest.
Mrs. Indira Tamang and Archana Tamang were joined by their relatives in the rally which went across several parts of West and South Sikkim including Nayabazaar, Jorethang and Namchi today. A signature campaign was also a part of the rally.
Earlier, Prashant’s mother and sister who were on their maiden visit to Sikkim were received by the members of the Manch at the Ramman Bridge that connects Sikkim and West Bengal. At Nayabazaar, they were welcomed by the reception that shouted slogans in favour of Prashant.
The rally, which had the participation of people from all age groups and communities, began from Akar Bridge and first proceeded to the Jorethang Bazaar. From here, the rally went to Namchi ending at the local taxi stand here. The rally stopped at various places where members of the Patrakar Manch and Mrs. Tamang and sister Archana addressed the gathering. Mrs. Tamang expressed her gratitude to the people of Sikkim for their support and said that the grand reception and the rally supported by the public was an unexpected surprise for them.
Archana said that she was overwhelmed by the love and support from the people of Sikkim upon on her brother.

The banners with signatures of the people of Nayabazar, Jorethang and Namchi were handed over to Mrs. Tamang as a token of love, support and encouragement from the people of Sikkim
