Gangtok,June16:C enturion Bank of Punjab has come with promises to serving the state and contribute in its economic development through its full range of banking services.The full-fledged branch office that opened here today would be the 279th branch in the country.Dhiraj Relli, head of branch banking, Centurion Bank of Punjab said that with Gangtok teeming with around 30 banks presently, the personal wealth management and foreign exchange service for the tourists and traders is the USP of the bank for a deeper penetration in the financial market. ''We will be providing customer-centric approach and we look forward to giving customized services,'' he said.''

Doorstep banking facilities will also be provided for our high-network customers,'' said Mr Relli.The bank head added that the customers can also avail of its ATM card facilities which are accepted by all ATMs without charges.Apart from the usual banking options, Centurion Bank of Punjab is looking to tap into two wheeler financing as it is the leading bank in this sector, said Mr Relli. There are also special products for small and medium enterprises, he said.According to bank officials, its net profit for the year ended March 31 was Rs 1.21 billion. Net profit for the year was up by 38 percent as compared to that in the pervious year, said the financial report of the bank. Sikkim finance secretary T T Dorji who inaugurated the bank expressed hopes that the bank would contribute in the economic development of the state.
