RANGPO: The labour turmoil of June 7 at Kumrkek, 4 kms from Rangpo, followed with arrest of five individuals on June 8, allegedly against involvement in resisting labours of Alkem Laboratories on their work.
The accused were booked under Section 147, 148, 149 of IPC and latter released on bail. The Alkem Laboratories management also decided to recruit Police Home Guards at the construction site in the lines of private security guards. More than 50 Police Home Guards is reported to have taken charge of the security of the factory site.
On June 7, complaints were lodged at Rangpo PS ensuing the commotion by one of the two injured Civil Engineer and Alkem Laboratories management.
