Ma Kasari Bhanau


Darjeeling:The producer of Nepali film “ma kasari bhanau” (how can I say), Mr. S P Giri, Ex Inspector general of Nagaland police, has been in the tour of Darjeeling hills & Sikkim for the promotion of his film.The film “ma kasari bhanau” produced by Mr. Giri with the technical support from Manipur Imphal film technical institute, has been based on reality of poor Nepali girls at red-light area of Mumbai, witnessed by Mr. Giri, during his official training, Bombay in 1975. The famous Hindi singers like, Saan and Sadhna Sargam have given their vocal in the film, Uttam Pradhan at its best in lead role. Mr. Giri has expressed his dissatisfaction over exclusion of Nepali films in National Film Festival, even after the inclusion of Nepali language in eight schedules of Indian constitution and provision of 30-35 film categories.Mr. Giri has already taken three films on hand, which will have focused on participating in forthcoming Indian National Film Festival.
Darjeeling Hills should never forget North East because majority of our families resides there, said Mr. C P Giri, during his promotional tour in Darjeeling & Sikkim
