CM Meeting On Namchi Development


Namchi: A meeting was called by the Chief Minister at his residence in Ghurbishey, Namchi on the evening of 20th May. The meeting was held in view to discuss on the development and planning of Namchi.
The meeting was opened for the officials to place their suggestions, doubts and queries related to their department before the Chief Minister. DC (S), SP (S), DDO (S), DPO (S), officials of various departments like Health, Education, Power & Energy, Forest, Cooperative, Labor, UD&HD, Pay & Accounts, Animal Husbandry, Soil Conservation, participated in the open discussion.
After a day long hectic schedule, Dr. Chamling called upon the officials to put in their sincere hard work and dedication while working for the interest of public. He said that the Chief Minister is only the facilitator but the actual responsibility lies in the hands of the officials to execute the works in an efficient manner. He asked for their full cooperation to develop Namchi and at the same time retain the “safe and peaceful” image of Sikkim intact. The interest of the public and the state should be kept in mind while executing works, he said. Dr. Chamling said that the officials should not turn a blind eye to the anti social elements prevailing in the society. He added that falling under the intellectual class, it is their duty to educate the ignorant and show them the right way.
The Chief Minister assured to look into the matters placed before him by the officials.
The meeting was attended by DC South, SP South, DDO South, DPO South, SDZP Adhakshya and Upadhakshya and officials of all the department of South District Administrative Centre, Namchi.
