Gangtok: The Police have been searching and turning Gangtok upside down to locate Mohan Chhetri, Wanted on charges of attempt to murder and his picture advertised on Nayuma Channel everyday for any information or clues to locate whereabouts of Mohan Chhetri who had attacked
his landlady Meena Chhetri of Sichey on May 15 with knife and inflicting severe cut injuries on her entire body and had been absconding ever since .
Now,it transpires, he had been hiding in the forest around Sichey Busty lurking near households so that he could get a bite to eat.It was around at 7.30 AM this morning that a rather starved looking Mohan was spotted in the green house of a Sichey building.It is likely that absconder had been hiding in the green house for past few days. Upon spotting him, the gardener called in for help which bought MB Thapa along with four others to the Spot and by than Mohan again run away to nearby forest areas.However, the group of 4 pursued him relentlessly and by 8.30AM, Mohan Chhetri had been caught and handed over to Police who immediately arrested him.
A rather famished and emaciated looking Mohan was sent to STNM hospital soon after his arrest. The victim of his assault is also recuperating at STNM Hospital.
