Working class in Sikkim is most conscious now : Chief Minister Dr.Chamling said on the eve of May day address
The working class or the worker today is most conscious now in Sikkim, they do not only earn livelihood, but they have many dreams today. Chief Minister and President of Sikkim Democratic front Party while addressing the workers on the eve of May day said this. He further said that soon after coming in power, his government provided various facilities including the hike in the daily wages to the workers or labours in the State. He urged that those economically and socially backward people must be united and work together for better future prospect. He emphasized that until and unless the poverty will not be fully rooted out from the soil of Sikkim, the fight against exploitation and corruption will continue. The various organizations placed demands before the Chief Minister and in return Chief Minister assured them for finding out their solution amicably with the management and concerned authority. Chief Minister said during his regime of last 12 years, about five thousand employees were provided regular appointment by the government and assured them that although, there are standing order of Supreme Court to appoint only after calling interview, the Government will look for possible legal option too in order to regularized to those Muster roll employees who have been rendering valuable services since many years.
