Cash Awards to Sikkim Sporting talent

Gangtok : Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of Sikkim has announced and distributed cash incentives to medal winners in various sports categories and at different achieveres levels. The Cash awards were presented by Principal secretary to Sports & Youth Affairs Department Shri R.S. Shreshta at function held in the indoor gymnasium of Palzor Stadium Complex.
The players of Taekwondo,Boxing,Football received cash awards ranging from Rs.5000 to 50000. Khadas were also offered by Secretary Shreshta to the SATA Chief Coach Trilok Subba, Boxing Chief Coach Jass Lall Pradhan and Football Chief Coach Solomon Lepcha.
The members of the Sikkim women's team which begged a silver medal in the National School Games held atGoa in year 2005 were also given a cash incentive of Rs.5,000/-.
