Arunachal CM Dorjee brush with corruption
ITANAGAR, April 11 – A day after assuming office, Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu had a brush with “corruption” in the State administration when he found Rs five lakh in a file he took to his official residence to read, reports PTI. Khandu, who found the currency yesterday, called in police who seized the notes, all of Rs 1,000 denomination. He asked police to take steps against those responsible for putting the money in the file. A case was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and taken up by the special investigation cell. Khandu took oath as chief minister on April 9, replacing Gegong Apang who ruled the State for 23 years.
